JR OFFICE – zadání a řešení
Task
- Improvement of ergonomics and use of the office during meetings with more than two visitors (the existing monitor obstructs the view of the person sitting on the east side of the round table)
- Overall optimization of storage and shelves (unification with a simple furniture)
- Display of a tennis racket
- Use of one or more photographs by Pilsen photographer Václav Hynčík
Solution
The Chinese theory of Feng Shui was used in the solution of the space. The position and orientation of the room does not contradict this theory, the position of the desk is good, but optimization of its use was desirable. The position of the cabinet was good, it needed to be unified for clarity of mind of the user. A tennis racket from a Wimbledon match was a big motivation for the creation of the space. It set the look and shape of the chosen interior materials in the colors of white and natural light wood. The old carpet was replaced. The new one is in a tennis court color with white base and side lines. In the field of the court there is a shoe print, reflecting the match point – the moment of the game of the winning ball, whose deformed elliptical print (as seen in the hawk’s eye) is also immortalized on the carpet.
