This 2013 book is about twelve exceptional women who for political reasons had to leave Czechoslovakia in order to fully develop their talent and who, thanks to their abilities, exceptionally represented their homeland now exile.
Eva Jiricna, Aja Vrzanova, Lida Rakusanova, Sona Cervena, Martina Navratilova, Lea Vivot, Olga Hruba, Blanka Matragi, Bela Gran Jensen, Pavlina Porizkova, Meda Mladkova a Kristina Colloredo-Mansfeldova.
Not only did these women assert themselves abroad, but they were mainly able to assert their visions. With their diligence and unrelenting energy, they won the hearts of others, all in a new, foreign environment. Their life stories could turn into thousands of bestseller pages, and some were even documented in film. During my encounters with them a common feature of their life experiences, attitudes and wisdom began to crystallize. These traits began to form their common face. The book is like a mirror and this common face is reflected here, their beautiful eyes are looking at us. From these pages, you may recognize the traits that unite them, and perhaps even what from their life attitudes can be projected into your own lives. Not only to little girls are their stories very inspiring. All these women are united by faith, industriousness and love of their home country. The book has been a great success and a reprint is being prepared.
