Task
The carpet was old, gray and ugly. The space of the new office also demanded its solution.
Solution
The design fits into the concept of Wimbledon space – with one deviation: instead of the green lawn of the tennis court, the blue of the WTA circuit was used, as it suits better the office. The core of the design was Petra Kvitová’s racket, with which she won Wimbledon in 2014. The carpet permanently captures the moment of the match point, when Petra Kvitova stood at the baseline and hit the ball with a backhand out of Eugenie Bouchard’s reach. The imprint of the yellow ball in its ellipsoidal form (á la hawk-eye) is on the carpet as well. Each day, this moment of victory will be a pleasant inspiration to anyone who walks over it.
